Dog Furiendly - v2
Project background
A custom solution based on TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel & Livewire) and the Filament component system.
The purpose of the site was to replace the existing WordPress based solution, which had reached breaking point in terms of speed of use and was impacting future growth opportunities for the company. (By way of example, the backend was taking between fifteen and twenty seconds to load each "listing" page in the editor.)
In addition to providing all of the key capabilities of the existing WordPress solution, the replacement site was geared towards providing a clean slate for future development and was built from the ground-up with a modern technical stack, providing a highly optimised and accessible solution.
Sadly, due to external issues, the company closed prior to the launch of the updated site, which was fully complete from a backend perspective and approximately 80% complete in terms of the frontend.
My responsibilities
I was responsible for defining the project requirements, selecting the most appropriate technical stack, estimation and subsequent development and project management, in addition to the design and layout of the site, with branding elements taken from the existing site.
